Island Inspirations in St. John USVI

Fun in the Caribbean Sun Sparks Inspiration

We just got back from St. John last week and it was an amazing trip! Due to Covid, we hadn't visited since last year at this time, and almost forgot the natural beauty of this tiny island approximately 9 miles x 5 miles. Greatly affected by both hurricanes Irma and Maria, a few weeks apart, it has mostly recovered. 2/3 of the Island was donated by Laurence Rockefeller in 1952 to the National Park Service, so in addition to beautiful beaches, it also offers great hiking trails, some with amazing views.

During this trip it was exciting to go back underwater, taking a refresh Scuba course, after well, too many years staying at the surface. The entire family with some dear friends took the PADI Scuba course at Low Key Watersports in Cruz Bay.  It was especially exciting for our son, Luigi, to get Scuba Certified on the date of his 15th birthday!!  Being down under, was such an amazing beautiful experience. Had forgotten how truly beautiful our underwater marine life is.

Over the years, we've created a few beautiful necklace charms inspired by this island jewel.  Here's our most recent.

Beautiful golf plated bronze charm Necklace with tiny heart in the front and ST. John in the back. Lovely keepsake Necklace to have as a Beautiful memory of the Island.
